Sacred Noise

bcb723 You really have to be in a certain headspace for this to click. Fortunately though, me and this dude are riding the same wavelength. Ambient drone filtered through a definite black metal lens, Ruslan Aarsland exorcizes some serious personal demons over these four bleak (and lengthy) tracks. These are sounds of mental isolation and the pain and weight these times carry on us. It's fucked up... and right up my alley. Favorite track: Katorga.

about

The seventh full-length album AARSLAND continues to build a sound monster in its Drone Black Metal style.
"Sacred Noise" is dedicated to the topic of exile in Siberia (where the author himself comes from).
Here, pain, loneliness, and melancholic melodies break through the monolith of a guitar drone metal and dark ambient textures.

The cover of the album is a painting made by a patient of a psychiatric clinic and one of the vocalists of noise legends - STALAGGH,
who once created some of the most terrifying recordings of all time.
The artist calls his work "Painted Pain".
We believe that the collaboration between AARSLAND's sound and this Master's visual art complement each other insanely, creating a single dark abyss.

Release and distribution on the Hidden Marly Production and Zero Dimensional Records labels (Japan). Japanese CD reissues of such artists as Horna, Satanic Warmaster, Mortifera were released on this label. And also Diagnose: Lebensgefahr (project from Nattramn from Silencer) and etc.
